To build any of these snapshots you'll need to install the dependant packages as well. You'll need the development packages of each so you can compile Gnash. Depending on your distro, the list could be:

Boost
AntiGrain (AGG)
OpenGL(Mesa)
Curl
Gstreamer
ffmepg

If you want to run "make check", you'll also need to install:

Ming
Swfmill
Swfc
Mtasc
python

If you build for Gst support, but get no sounds or video, you'll need to install the ffmpeg-gst plugin to get the FLV codecs for flash video to work.

For more information, read the manual section on building Gnash. There is also much info on the Gnash Developers sites at www.gnashdev.org, including cross compiling and other platform specifc information.
